June 2nd the nominations for the 31st annual Dora Awards were announced at the Four Seasons Centre. The Dora Awards honour Canadian Theatre, Opera and Dance.
The cast of Second City for Mayor was nominated for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble.
Second City alumna Melody A Johnson received multiple nominations for her original musical Mimi, including Outstanding Production and Outstanding New Musical. Alumnus Chris Earle was nominated for Outstanding New Musical for his production Robin Hood, The Environmental Family Musical. And Blind Date Produced by Rebecca Northan, in association with Harbourfront Centre was nominated for Outstanding Production.
The awards ceremony will take place June 28th at the Winter Garden Theatre.
