The Second City was saddened to learn of the passing of beloved alum Ira Miller. Ira performed on the Mainstage in Chicago in the mid 1960's before moving on to star in a number film and television programs in Los Angeles, including the Mel Brooks' classic films Blazing Saddles, High Anxiety and Spaceballs. Ira was also a cherished faculty member of The Second City Training Center in LA.

ReplyDeleteTruly a sad loss for the world of comedy. Mr. Miller was my favorite instructor at the Second City LA. I will never forget how he encouraged me to find the truth in my comedy. My condolences and deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
