Josephine Forsberg

The Second City was saddened to hear of the passing of Josephine Raciti Forsberg this morning. Jo studied at the hand of Viola Spolin and was instrumental in the teaching of thousands upon thousands of young actors and improvisers. She founded the Player's Workshop which became one of the first formal schools of improvisation in the world and also produced dozens of Children's Theatre shows at The Second City. We offer our condolences to her whole family – especially her son Eric and daughter Linnea.
